Keely Kemp started in the music business in the late ‘80s working with an independent dance label and Canada’s largest independent distributor. After ten years in the music business, she worked in the digital world of web-based media, before accepting her current position with the government. At OMDC, Keely found a home to do what she does best- developing and delivering programs and initiatives to encourage growth for Ontario’s thriving music industry. She also works to find new cross-sector partnerships and revenue opportunities for the music industry with film and television, publishing and interactive digital media industries in Canada and abroad.

Ontario Media Development Corporation (OMDC) is an agency of the Ontario Ministry of Culture that facilitates economic development opportunities for Ontario’s cultural media industries including the book publishing, film and television, interactive digital media, magazine publishing, and music industries.

Keely will be speaking as a panelist at the Urban Music Industry Conference on Friday, January 29 from 4:00pm - 5:30pm.
